Josh Jackson - Welcome to the Ohana!
Welcome To The Ohana!
University of Iowa Defensive Back and consensus NFL First Round Pick Josh Jackson has signed an endorsement deal with Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee Company. In advance of the upcoming NFL Draft, the University of Iowa’s Josh Jackson – a 2017 1st Team AP All-American and the only cornerback selected as a Unanimous All-American -- signed with VaynerSports, a full-service athlete representation agency that helped connect Josh and Hawaiian Isles. Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee Company is a 2nd-generation, family-owned coffee roaster located in the heart of the Hawaiian Islands, and our coffees can be found in retail locations around the nation. Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee aims to share the unique taste of Hawaii with the world through the flavors of our custom coffees.
Josh hails from Corinth, Texas and is a family man. He puts his family first and has strong ties to the U.S. Military with his father being a Veteran. In addition to the traditional grocery stores and e-commerce, Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee Company products are also sold through the exclusive military commissary system. Our coffees are sold throughout the nation’s military commissaries, as well as military commissaries internationally at U.S. bases overseas. There is a clear synergy between Josh’s journey and Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee Company’s overall mission and presence in the military - making this partnership exciting and promising. Josh will be making an in-store appearance at one of the retailers carrying Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee Company and possibly making appearances on military bases as well.
As many football fans may know, Josh had a fun role in Iowa’s giant upset against Ohio State. Josh’s now iconic Odell Beckham-esque one-handed interception got him recognition across the country. Josh catapulted himself into the NFL draft conversation with a stellar 2017 season at Iowa. Iowa was the only Power 5 school to offer Josh when he played in high school at one of the most football-crazy states in the country. Josh has expressed his excitement about working with Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee Company by having said: "I’m able to build relationships and be a part of such a prestige group, but most importantly I’m able to start my day off with a cup of Kona coffee.”
Here are a few more of Josh’s many accomplishments:
- Led the nation with 8 interceptions this season at Iowa
- Led the FBS in passes defended and returned two interceptions for touchdowns during his first season as a starter
- Unanimous consensus All-American Honors
- Named a Jim Thorpe award finalist and the Big Ten’s Defensive Back of the year
- Projected to be a top Round 1 NFL draft pick
