Check out the magnificent valley in Hawaii that Hollywood loves to make movie magic in.

LOTS of movies that require a romantic, tropical, jungle or island location are filmed in Hawaii. The Hawaii Film Office keeps a running list here.

Hundreds of locations around the islands have been featured in films, but one of the most popular locations is the 4,000-acre, private nature reserve called Kualoa Ranch on the island of Oahu. It’s a real, working cattle ranch with more than 500 head of cattle, and a popular tourist attraction with ATV rides, horseback and zipline rides. They also offer guided tours of the many places around the ranch that have been used as film locations.

Kualoa Ranch covers 4,000 acres and many scenes are filmed on the rugged mountain terrain or areas covered by tropical rainforest, but its most recognizable film location is easily the huge valley itself.

Here are some popular movies that filmed in the valley.

Which of these is your favorite Kualoa movie moment?
